Post Travel Reset, New Szn Intentions & My AW Favs
Hey there, and welcome back! I’ve just returned from an amazing adventure, soaking up the sights in Seville and enjoying some ultimate relaxation in Crete. Life has been pretty fantastic, I must say! But now it’s time to get back to reality. As bittersweet as it is to return to rainy England (sigh), I’m excited for this final quarter of the year. There’s something so invigorating about September—maybe it’s the back-to-school vibes, but I’m feeling ready to tackle whatever comes next. How about you?
After travelling, it’s key to hit the reset button and restore balance to both body and mind. A post-travel reset helps you recharge so you can dive back into daily life feeling refreshed and ready to go!
1. Unpack ASAP!
Unpack right away, toss those clothes in the washing machine and get rid of that suitcase. It might seem like a chore, but trust me, future-you will thank you. Clean space, clean mind and all that.
2. Get Moving!
Shake off the travel slump with your go-to workout—whether you’re all about strength training, love a good walk, or prefer Pilates. You'll feel refreshed and ready to roll.
3. Hydrate Like a Pro
Post-travel pro tip: Water is your bestie. Rehydrate ASAP and throw in some electrolytes for extra power.
4. Snooze Smart
Beat travel exhaustion with 7-8 hours of solid sleep. Ditch your screens, sip herbal tea, and keep your room cosy for ultimate rest.
And with the new season, I want to dive into my intentions for the final 3 months of 2024. Whether it’s setting new goals, tackling unfinished projects, or simply focusing on personal growth, these last few months are like a reset button before the new year. So, let's talk about goals, habits, and all the little changes that can still make a big impact before we wrap up 2024!
1. Bring in New Clients Like a Pro
I’m determined to add some fresh faces to my client roster. Time to step up the networking game, slay my LinkedIn profile and kick off some new social media work. The goal is simple: attract new opportunities and partnerships to level up!
2. Crush Those Gym Goals
My mission is to show up at the gym daily and make serious progress. Whether it's hitting some PB's or just waking up to head to the gym daily, I’m tracking my wins (big and small) and celebrating every milestone.
3. Nail That Consistent Routine
I thrive with structure, and it’s time to lock in that daily routine From morning workouts, solid work blocks, and meal prepping. No more chaos—just consistent, productive days that leave room for MAF's and gym time.
4. Level Up with Personal Growth
The final quarter of the year is perfect for a little personal upgrade. Whether it's finally reading those self-development books on my shelf, learning a new skill, or adding meditation to my mornings, I’m all about growing mentally, not just physically.
5. Prep for 2024 Like a Boss
Before December 31, I’m setting myself up for a killer 2024. Reviewing what worked (and what didn’t) in 2023, setting fresh goals, and creating a vision board. That way, I can roll into the new year feeling ready, not rushed!
Last but not least, let’s dive into my current autumn favourites—because who doesn’t love a good product recommendation?
First up, the Booktok famous series ACOTAR. I picked this up while soaking up the sun in Crete, and it’s truly a perfect series! With just the right mix of spice and epic faerie battles, it’s an ideal read for those cozy, grey Sunday afternoons.
And speaking of cozy, is it really autumn if there isn’t a candle lit? My personal favourite is the Anya Hindmarch Rainbow Candle—because let’s be honest, I’m a sucker for great branding! Find your favourite scent and settle in for a snug evening in front of the TV.
Now, let’s talk style: it’s boot season, and I’m obsessed with my Cowboy Boots from ASOS. They look fabulous with a chunky winter dress or a flowy midi skirt, topped off with my go-to leather blazer. Perfect for those crisp autumn days!
No matter the season, we love Taylor. But for Autumn, you can’t go wrong with Taylor Swift’s Red (TV) album. It’s my all-time favourite, and tracks like “All Too Well (10-Minute Version)” perfectly capture the essence of autumn. It’s the ideal soundtrack for your morning HGW or a cosy afternoon.
And while everyone is all about pumpkin spice, I’m a matcha girlie! I’m romanticising making my matcha at home this season, thanks to my Moicha Starter Kit. There’s something so satisfying about crafting the perfect cup to sip while enjoying the Autumn vibes!
So, grab that spicy book, light your fav candle, put on some Taylor, and whip up a delicious matcha. Here’s to enjoying all the cosy moments this autumn! See ya in the next blog, until then keep up with The Life of Molly every day and check out my IG here!
