Mid-Year Check-In, Lets F***ing Go

How the hell are we heading into July? Time flies by when your life is falling apart. Jks Jks, but it is a bit crazy how we are in July, halfway through 2024, and with this milestone, comes reflection, checking in and goal setting. Right? It is what us wellness girlies do! So grab a journal, a fun drink of choice, and let's do this!


1. Reflect on Your Goals


Start off by checking in on your goals. Remember those goals you set way back at the beginning of the year? Take a look and see what you’ve achieved so far and what still needs a bit more focus. Celebrate every win, no matter how tiny— babes, it all counts! And if there have been any challenges slowing you down, jot them down so you can tackle them head-on.


2. Assess Your Wellness


Ask yourself, are you staying active, eating well, and getting enough sleep? Take a moment to reflect on your physical health habits. How are you feeling emotionally? Managing stress okay (I see you!)? Think about your mental and emotional wellness too. And finally, check in on those all important relationships. Are you keeping up with your loved ones?


3. Realign Your Goals


Alright, it's time to revise your goals for the next 6 months! Adjust them based on your mid-year check-in. Be realistic—don't go shooting for the stars if it isn't attainable. Next, set new milestones. Break down your goals into smaller, manageable steps so you can easily track your progress. Finally, develop detailed action plans for each goal. Include specific steps and deadlines to keep yourself on track.


4. Incorporate Wellness Practices


We’re all about wellness over here, so don’t forget to prioritise those daily rituals like meditation, journaling, or working out. For all us busy bees, make sure to schedule regular self-care activities—whether it’s a spa day, a HGW, or a cozy reading session. Whatever tickles your fancy! And always remember to practice gratitude to stay present and positive.


5. Stay Accountable


Why bother setting goals if you're not going to track your progress, right? Grab a planner, journal, or app—whatever floats your boat—to keep tabs on how far you’ve come. Celebrate those wins and areas where you can still level up. Let’s spice up those monthly check-ins—cue your favourite playlist, maybe whip up a mocktail—and take a moment to reflect.


6. Stay Motivated


What's goal setting without a sexy ass vision board? Update that 2024 vision board to visualise all your goals and aspirations. Remember, you are what you consume! Dive into content that inspires you—whether it's podcasts, books, or killer social media accounts.And don't forget to treat yourself along the way! Set up a sweet reward system for hitting those milestones, aka a cute solo brunch date.



7. Balance Baby


Let's get that work-life balance in check—because if you haven't made it a priority yet this year, it's time to add it to the top of your list. Balance your tasks smartly and manage your time like a boss to stop burnout. `Don't underestimate the power of rest and downtime. If you don't pencil in those regular breaks, your body might just stage an intervention. So, let's make self-care a non-negotiable, shall we?


8. Embrace Change


Lastly, stay flexible—because as much as we try to plan all this stuff, life loves to throw us curveballs. Embrace failures as lessons in disguise and keep growing stronger. But most importantly, keep that positive, resilient mindset shining bright babes. Believe in yourself and your ability to crush those goals, no matter what life throws your way.
