Bday Special: Travel Inspo, My Ideal Weekend & Why I Love Being Single

Hello all, how are we all doing? We're in the final quarter of the year, and I’m now officially 25, wooo! I celebrated my birthday in the beautiful Seville, didn't you see the pics over on socials? It was a dream of a weekend, from pasta, playing tourist and reading plenty of spicy books. It’s become a tradition to celebrate my birthday abroad. From Mykonos to Disney, I highly recommend escaping the gloomy UK weather for a quick trip, I guess happy Autumn eh? Before heading away to Seville, I asked over on socials what juicy topics you wanted to hear, and you didn't disappoint. So let's dive in!

First of all, travel inspo. When you'll be reading this, I will be sunbathing it up in Crete, with a fruity little smoothie and diving into ACATOR. I have been uber-lucky to visit some amazing destinations across the globe. A couple of my fav destinations, of course, include the trip of the lifetime Bali and a good ol city break including Amsterdam, Palma or Seville. A few travel tips: 1) Travel solo to fully enjoy your time (sorry friends and family!). 2) Explore new cultures and places. 3) Prioritise what makes you feel good, like a cheeky workout or treating yourself to your daily little treat!

Next, an update on my dating life – well, I genuinely love being single! There’s something incredibly empowering about having my own space and setting my boundaries. I’ve learned to appreciate the freedom that comes with it, whether that’s spending a quiet weekend at home, travelling solo, or even just making decisions without having to factor in someone else’s opinion. There’s a sense of independence that comes with being single that I wouldn’t trade for anything!

As for my ideal weekend, it depends on the season. Key elements include a great gym workout or a pilates class - I’m all about morning routines! A cheeky brunch in London – with a good book or with a gal pal – and some TLC like a day wandering in an art museum, cooking a homemade meal, or relaxing in a bubble bath with a self-help podcast. And of course, no weekend is complete without indulging in some reality TV (have you watched Bad Boyfriends, it's a gooden) and a slice of banana bread!

One final quickie, as I enter another year under the sun, I want to share my 3 biggest lessons this year. 1) No matter how chaotic life gets, everything does work out in the end. What’s meant to happen, will. 2) Life’s too short to spend time on things that don’t bring you joy. Whether it’s work, hobbies, or relationships, focus on what makes you genuinely happy. 3) We are literally on a floating rock. Why waste time stressing over things that won’t matter a year from now, let alone in the grand scheme of the universe? Retweet.

And there we have it, I need to dash as I have less than 48 hours to unpack, re-pack, finish work, sort out my to-do's and get these deadlines done before I head off for another vacay. Pray for me guys. Want to see what I get up to in Greece? Make sure to keep up with The Life of Molly every day and check up on my IG here!
